Drive sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, in-stock and inventory levels, budgeting and forecasting, sales analysis, and assessing economic trends and community needs. Model, enforce, and provide direction and guidance to Associates on customer/member service approaches to resolve needs, complaints, and issues within Company guidelines and standards. Oversee community outreach programs and encourage Associates to participate as good members of the community. Ensure compliance with Company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the Vision Center by analyzing reports, implementing asset protection and safety controls, and directing safety, operational, and quality assurance reviews. Develop and implement action plans to improve performance; provide supervision and development opportunities for Associates; hire, train, mentor, assign duties, provide recognition, and promote a sense of belonging in the workplace. Ensure provision of quality eyewear by consulting with and educating Members/Customers, selecting products based on needs, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidential information, performing minor frame repair, and maintaining Optical equipment. Uphold the Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, researching issues, reviewing policies, and suggesting resolutions. Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities by building relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, identifying goals, and measuring progress toward results. Promote continuous learning and adaptability, identifying opportunity areas and encouraging best practices across the Vision Center team. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules. Preferred qualifications
