Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Systems Data Analyst/Engineer
Torch Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Systems Data Analyst/Engineer to support the Air & Missile Business Unit. This role involves data analysis, data extraction, and development of M&S tools. US Citizenship required.
Responsibilities
Perform data extraction, processing, investigation, analysis and comparison of system data and high-fidelity models and simulations data for Army ground-based radars and effects models.
Provide M&S analytical support for testing events and offer feedback to customers as needed.
Help develop and maintain data reduction and analysis tools; participate in technical interchange meetings, program reviews, integration and test working groups; prepare analyses and reports for meetings.
Required Qualifications
US Citizenship.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related field.
2 years of experience in data extraction, processing, plotting and analysis.
Proficient in Python, MATLAB programming, Windows, Linux and Microsoft Office.
Proactive, self-starter and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences and produce clear, concise reports and materials.
Ability to analyze detailed technical information and develop logical solutions within specified schedules.
Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and taking on various roles as needed.
Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills with team members, leadership, and customers.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of experience in data extraction, processing, plotting, and analysis.
Experience in data analysis and processing of radar system or simulation data.
Experience with radar system data and/or radar simulation data.
Experience with large data sets and SQL.
Programming experience in either C++ or Java.
Strong presentation skills and the ability to effectively brief diverse audiences.
Current Secret Security Clearance.
