Overview

Use hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products. Responsibilities

Welding per process: Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW). Operate welding equipment to meet project requirements and quality standards. Requirements

Must pass all three positions – Vertical, Horizontal, and Overhead – flux core and stick welding. Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card. Required to complete an open-root weld test on a 3/8" plate with a 1/8" gap for both SMAW (1/8" 7018 rods) and FCAW (flux-core) processes. Three (3) years of shipyard welding experience. Preferred Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred). Skills
