Oversee all aspects of company accounting including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP Direct the annual budgeting process and provide detailed variance analysis and corrective action recommendations Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts and manage banking relationships to support ongoing liquidity and growth initiatives Manage and improve spending controls and approval workflows across the organization Manage and improve ERP functionality within Microsoft Business Central, ensuring data integrity, process automation, and system efficiency Provide direct oversight and mentorship to the Cost Accountant, ensuring accurate product costing, margin analysis, and inventory valuation aligned with manufacturing operations Coordinate external audits and tax filings, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements Partner with department leaders to track and control spending, improve cost efficiency, and ensure alignment with company financial goals Prepare and present monthly management reports with actionable insights on margins, costs, and working capital performance Provide leadership, mentorship, and accountability within the finance team, building a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement Key Performance Outcomes
Month-end close completed within 15 business days Variance reports delivered monthly with clear action items Cash flow forecast accuracy within ±5% Established and maintained company-wide spending controls with measurable adherence Documented cost improvements or financial process efficiencies each quarter Strategic Skills and Mindset
Proven ability to design and implement financial systems and KPIs that improve organizational discipline and profitability Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting, cost controls, and inventory valuation Demonstrated success leading ERP and process improvement initiatives (Business Central preferred) Skilled in developing multi-year budgets, cash flow projections, and capital investment models High attention to detail combined with the ability to communicate financial insights in plain language to operational teams Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement About the Role
This position reports directly to the CEO and partners closely with the CFO. As Holcombe Mixers continues to scale its operations, expand its product offerings, and strengthen its financial systems, the Controller role will have opportunities to evolve into a Director of Finance or Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position. The ideal candidate will demonstrate consistent delivery of accurate reporting, financial leadership, and strong cross-functional collaboration in support of the company’s long-term growth.
