Responsibilities

Perform Mammography and Breast Ultrasound procedures and exams in the Breast Imaging section. Conduct diagnostic and screening examinations; ultrasound and mammographic guided breast interventions and bone densitometry. Interact with staff, supervisors, clinicians and others to support department mission.

Qualifications

Education: Associates Degree (or equivalent) in Radiologic Technology from an AMA approved school. Licenses/Certifications: Massachusetts state licenses in Radiography and Mammography; ARRT (R) and (M) certification; Breast Ultrasound certification (ARDMS or ARRT); BI credentials ARRT (BS) or RDMS (BR) required within one year of hire; current BLS certification; continuing education credits up-to-date for certifications held. Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a registered mammographer and at least 6 months of breast sonography; ability to pass breast Sonography certification within one year of hire (through ARDMS or ARRT); knowledge of mammography and ultrasound principles and operation/maintenance of related equipment; bone density equipment knowledge and ability to analyze studies; strong breast anatomy/pathology knowledge; excellent communication/interpersonal and organizational skills; intermediate to advanced computer skills.
