Overview
Assistant Store Manager - Store 708475 at Sherwin-Williams. The role supports the store manager in organizing, planning, and implementing strategies in a Sherwin-Williams paint store, including customer service, marketing, merchandising, inventory, finances, and store safety. This position also involves supervising and training store staff and contacting customers to generate sales leads. This position’s typical schedule is 44 hours per week, which may include evenings and/or weekends. This role is eligible for a bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans. $58,813.00/yr - $72,251.44/yr
Responsibilities
Support business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
Build and maintain knowledge of all products to provide effective customer recommendations
Build positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers
Complete store administration
Ensure compliance with policies and procedures including safety, loss prevention, and security
Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards, including promotional packages and sales floor displays
Support employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action
Respond to and resolve customer and/or employee complaints
Partner with Store Manager to make outside sales calls to increase market share
Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship now or in the future
Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
Must have at least a High School diploma or GED
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs on occasion
Preferred Qualifications
At least one year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service or completed a Sherwin-Williams Management Training Program
At least one year of leadership experience supervising others or leading teams
Experience selling paint and paint related products
Experience using timekeeping and/or CRM systems
Associate degree or higher in business, sales, or marketing
Willingness to relocate for future opportunities
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language (including Spanish)
