Overview
Location Los Angeles, California and Sydney, Australia Type Feature film Genre Required: A cinema photographer who knows what they’re doing for Proof of Concept gig. The POC is for a feature-length neo-noir supernatural thriller. It is a non-paying enterprise; the reward is the gig itself for budding (or proven) D.O.P with cred to build their show reel showcasing high production quality. The project has a solid script in the true tradition of a neo-noir thriller with suspenseful narrative and compelling characters. The vision for the project needs the right touch to push it further. Current status: Status Development Timeline: A POC of 6 - 7 minutes max duration, with a trailer version of approximately 2 minutes. Aim to shoot early next year. While the photographer is ideally closer to home (somewhere in Australia), there is openness to interested talent in the States or elsewhere given the right energy and passion. D.O.Ps interested should request a synopsis and concept in pitch deck format to discuss next steps. Responsibilities
Contribute as the cinema photographer for a 6–7 minute POC and assist in achieving the visual treatment that supports the script. Collaborate on developing the visual style and shot approach for a neo-noir, supernatural thriller concept, under a non-paying arrangement. Assist in preparing or reviewing a synopsis and pitch deck for discussion with the producer. Qualifications
Experienced cinematographer/DP with capability to work on a proof-of-concept project. Willingness to participate in a non-paying project for portfolio/showreel value. Ability to adapt to international collaboration (Australia/USA) and participate early next year as planned. Interest in contributing to a high-quality production with strong narrative and characters.
