The Network Administrator I works as a member of the team to assist with transportation needs, tutorial writing, desktop support and other computer related assistance. Will work with the IT Director and lead staff in identifying tasks and prioritizing them as needed. Major Tasks, Duties And Responsibilities
Provide assistance to Network Administrators for; Windows Server (and related management tools), Exchange Server, SQL Server, Windows Desktops Applications and Operating Systems, LAN/WAN/VPN connections, routers, switches and firewalls. Provide technical assistance and support to employees and designated associates. Interpret problems and provide technical support for hardware, software and systems. Answer telephone calls and respond to helpdesk inquiries. Analyze problems by using automated diagnostic programs and resolve recurring difficulties. Install, configure, and support input/output devices and peripherals. Implementing, managing and troubleshooting network protocols, services and security. Assist in the deployment, maintenance, analysis, repairs, replacement, support and upgrade of computer worker stations, hardware, software, operating systems and distributed printers. This includes loading, unloading and transporting computers, monitors, printers, desks, chairs and other peripherals to various sites and locations as needed. Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve software related problems. Perform system backups and recovery. Maintain company databases and spreadsheets. Monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity and system stability. Provide support to end users on a variety of issues. Identify, research and resolve technical problems. Respond to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support as directed. Track and monitor problems to insure timely resolutions. Assist in the development and maintenance of tutorials and other support documents. Learn designated applications used to generate help documents, images, web parts, video or other mediums. Perform backups and ensure user accessibility to internet/intranet sites and resources. Collect, select, and edit data for dissemination on corporate intranet sites or other electronic format. Read draft copies to detect errors in spelling, punctuation and syntax. Aid in the planning, writing and maintenance of projects and user support documentation efforts, including online help. Assist in translating business applications into user documentation. Assist in the preparation and maintenance of organizational documentation (guides, policies & procedure manuals, tutorials, handbooks and any other user documentation). This may include 4-5 hours of data entry or graphics design per day. Provide day to day administrative support to the IT Director and other lead staff. Classify, sort and file correspondence, records and other documents. Maintain records and filing system. Retrieve information from files upon request by authorized party. Ensure records and files are maintained so that authorized staff can retrieve needed items easily. Maintain well organized file and storage areas. Conduct inventory of supplies. Keep area neat and orderly. Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings as assigned. Maintain familiarity with BHS policies and procedures and other applicable regulations. Perform job duties accordingly. Qualifications
Following are the qualifications required to perform the essential functions of this position. Qualifications may be subject to modification on the Americans with Disabilities Act. A combination of education, training and work experience equivalent to: Associates degree/vocational certificate or one year supervised experience working in related field. Minimum of one-year education at an accredited institute of higher learning with at least two years’ experience in a job related field. Must have intermediate level computer skills, and aptitude for acquiring new skills and knowledge. Experience with Microsoft Office, Office 365, Windows 10, Windows Servers, LAN, WAN, Firewall, Internet and related applications are required. Strong organizational abilities combined with clerical skills (typing, filing, phones, data entry will be necessary). Must have a valid California Driver’s License and personal vehicle liability insurance when driving personal vehicle on BHS business. Ability to use language and terms appropriate for target audience. Ability to “multitask” in fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure. Should enjoy troubleshooting and problem solving and possess passion for computer technology. Knowledge of substance abuse problems, preferred. Vision, hearing, verbal communication skills, manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination must be adequate for performance of job duties. Able to sit at desk, use keyboard, mouse & touchpad, write, and physically perform other job duties. Routinely lift and move items weighing up to twenty-five pounds and occasionally up to seventy pounds; is expected to ask for assistance and use a dolly or cart for any heavy items.
