Reporting to the Head of Strategic Projects and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, the

Capability Partnerships Manager

is responsible for establishing and managing the Multi-Class Sustainment (MCS) Capability Partnerships Panel. You will lead the development and execution of partnering strategies, manage existing relationships, and identify new opportunities for collaboration and integration. This includes overseeing budget and performance outcomes, establishing and managing supplier agreements, and ensuring ASC enablers are in place to support service delivery. Please note: While this is a full-time role, we are open to considering candidates who are seeking a four-day work week. Flexibility can be discussed during the recruitment process. Responsibilities

Establish, manage, and maintain key capability support partnerships, ensuring alignment with program objectives. Develop and implement partnership strategies, policies, and processes across the MCS program. Analyse partner capabilities and identify opportunities for new partnerships and integration. Negotiate and formalise agreements with new partners, in collaboration with commercial and legal teams. Monitor and report on partnership performance, proactively resolving issues and adapting strategies to maximise value. Manage panel budget and optimise cost and schedule performance. Engage with internal stakeholders across Operations, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain and Business Performance to support service delivery. About You

Successful candidates will have a delivery mindset and a growth focus. You will bring a strong commercial mindset and the ability and maintain strategic relationships: Tertiary qualifications in Business, Engineering, Commerce, Law, Procurement or a related discipline. Project Management qualifications (desirable). 10+ years’ experience in project management, supply chain, procurement, or commercial advisory roles. Knowledge of value chains within a Maintenance Repair Organisation (MRO), ideally in shipbuilding or defence. Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes in complex environments. High-level analytical, financial and commercial acumen. Experience developing strategies for partnership growth and integration. Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
