Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions/concerns quickly and courteously, assist with video gaming needs, inform guests of promotions, recommend additional items, and show commitment to guests throughout the store. Support the shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns accurately using the POS system; ensure accurate changes, provide receipts, and maintain high guest service standards. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or on the phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager as needed. Promote GameStop guest benefits (e.g., new title reservations, trade-in program, Pro Rewards loyalty). Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training for store associates in all policies and procedures. Observe associate performance, provide feedback, and address unsatisfactory performance as directed. Provide recognition and feedback to associates and document performance as appropriate. Ensure onboarding, training, and compliance training for associates prior to opening or closing shifts; ensure knowledge of policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, and ethics. Schedule store associates following guidelines, manage breaks/meals, and supervise staffing to maintain high levels of guest service. Approve payroll, enter paid time off, and verify proper compensation. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising per company guidelines; ensure fixtures and equipment are in good working order. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders and ship daily. Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention; inspect packages at closing or end of shifts as appropriate; report concerns to the Store Manager. Support the store team in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete required administrative duties. Perform store inventory counts, stock/restock merchandise, and ensure products are represented and organized on the sales floor. Count, balance, and reconcile daily transaction totals; complete closeout paperwork and bank deposits as required. Verify shipments for discrepancies and record discrepancies; conduct inventories and communicate to leadership. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls accurately; label boxes with packing lists. Maintain safety awareness and address hazards; report injuries per company guidelines. Assist in maintaining store records/files; keep manuals up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures and opening/closing procedures. Qualifications
Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Outgoing and welcoming personality with strong people skills. Genuine and individualized guest assistance. Clear verbal and written communication skills; English proficiency; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently and in a team. Meet performance expectations, including attendance and safety. Operate POS system; basic math and alphabetizing skills. Complete required paperwork properly; follow written or spoken instructions. Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays (minimum 3 days/week). Manage pressure, be adaptable, and solve problems creatively. Reliable and trustworthy with good judgment. Able to work alone and stand/move for extended periods; lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks as required. Compensation
