Lead and supervise the plumbing and gas fitting team, ensuring safety, quality and compliance across all tasks Oversee repairs, maintenance and installations of plumbing and gas systems, prioritising urgent issues to meet guest needs and standards Maintain tools and equipment to a high standard Stay abreast of regulatory requirements, ensuring all work complies with local, state and federal plumbing and gas fitting standards Drive safety initiatives, lead toolbox talks and mentor junior staff to foster a safe, skilled and collaborative team environment What we’re looking for
You’re a trade qualified Plumber Gas fitter who thrives in a collaborative team environment and takes pride in delivering high quality, safe and efficient work. With strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills, you can confidently maintain and install plumbing and gas systems. And when the tools are down, you’re ready to enjoy your time off on a tropical island paradise. To be successful, you’ll need Minimum 2 years supervisor experience Queensland Trade Licence – Plumber (or ability to convert to QLD from interstate) Queensland open Gas Licence Type A (or ability to convert to QLD from interstate) White Card Driver’s Licence Ability to be approved for and hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) Strong understanding of plumbing systems, gas installations, and safety protocols. Proven leadership and team management skills with excellent communication and organisational abilities. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Reliable, flexible, and punctual with the ability to support operational shifts and on-call duties. About Hamilton Island
