Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
to provide high-quality speech and language therapy services within a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working with diverse patient populations. This is a critical short-term assignment offering the opportunity to make an immediate impact in patient care.
Responsibilities: Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients of varying ages and backgrounds. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing function. Conduct dysphagia evaluations and provide rehabilitation, including
Modified Barium Swallow (MBS)
and/or
Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES)
procedures. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated patient care. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional and regulatory standards. Educate patients and families on treatment goals, techniques, and progress.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in
Speech-Language Pathology
(required) Active
New York State license
(required) BLS certification
(required) ASHA certification (CCC-SLP)
(required) Minimum of
3 years of clinical experience
with diverse patient populations (required) Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication Specialized training in dysphagia evaluation and rehabilitation, including
MBS and/or FEES
competence
