Job Description Summary GE Aerospace has sites in 2 locations in Beavercreek. One manufactures gas turbine tubes, ducts, and manifolds, and also has complex machining, fabrication and investment casting capabilities. Product engineering, new product development, and testing is performed on site. This facility also does repair and overhaul of tubes, ducts, and manifolds. Just down the street in the Dayton Cores and Castings (DCC) facility is a GE Aerospace manufacturing shop that makes HPT Airfoil Cores and Castings. We are a low‑rate production shop that develops the leading edge of airfoil technology to deliver value through new product introduction and manufacturing industrialization. We are proud to have been awarded OSHAS’s highest safety rating. As the Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will work directly with casting foundry manufacturing processes and equipment best practices. You will be responsible for developing manufacturing operating instructions, standard work, equipment operational efficiency, process quality, new process introduction, continuous improvement, and problem solving.

Roles and Responsibilities

Organize and contribute to projects related to capital investments

Provide technical data for equipment specification, new equipment installation, equipment upgrades, lay‑out, renovations and optimization

Utilize in‑depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute help establish cell level goals for efficiency, capacity, and process yield

Design experiments and gather data to validate new processes

Play an active part of the product launch team ensuring all technical requirements are reviewed and process equipment capability assessed prior to product release

Work with operations to monitor process health, aid in training new operators, and remove safety or quality risks from daily operations

Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience

Gather and present data; develop skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field

Support manufacturing operations to maintain safety, yield, delivery and cost

Will have direct ownership for process on all applicable product lines

Work with cross‑functional teams to increase equipment reliability

Implement problem solving methodology and action planning to solve for process, quality, delivery or reliability gaps

Provide technical support to other adjacent functions and process owners with a team mindset

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing process experience)

At least an additional 3 years of Manufacturing Engineering or casting engineering technician experience
