Supplier Quality Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities
Lead Product Qualification Activities at Suppliers – Product and Process Qualifications (PPQs)
Contain, manage and resolve quality issues related to supplier non-conforming components identified at Aero‑Derivative Gas Turbine (AGT) at customer assembly facilities, warehouses, or customers globally.
Manage suppliers to properly handle non‑conformance issues.
Assist with process improvements.
Lead supplier root‑cause investigations and corrective actions through the Problem Resolution process.
Investigate and resolve manufacturing capability issues within the supply chain to ensure business continuity.
Identify and support cost‑reduction opportunities through interaction with the Supply Chain/Strategic Business team.
Audit existing and potential suppliers to determine capability of manufacturing and ensure quality systems are in place.
Develop supplier capability to meet current and future requirements.
Interact with customer‑facing businesses to investigate potential product non‑conformances.
Qualifications
Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO9001), Supplier Quality Management (SQM), and quality control routines.
Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of drawing interpretation (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Demonstrated ability to work with design engineering organization to ensure parts are manufacturable.
Proven ability to manage multi‑problem investigations simultaneously.
Ability to project manage product and process qualifications and unexpected supplier quality issues from beginning to end.
Knowledge of inspection methodologies and assessment of inspection capability.
Technical training or further education in quality, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
Confident knowledge of office computer programs (MS Office).
Proactive, independent personality.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Experience working with critical parts.
Proven track record of applying quality improvement processes and tools (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa).
SAP experience.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer‑sponsored work authorization.
Experience in power generation or aerospace industry.
Pay Range $75,000.00 per year – $80,000.00 per year
Work Requirements
On‑site position located in Orlando, FL.
Must commute to the location with own transportation for required working hours.
Shop floor environment, which may include extensive walking and lifting up to 40 lbs.
Travel Requirements 5% travel is required.
