Position Description
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

UAB Highlands, Infectious Disease

Under general supervision, provide and manage patient care. Deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation including, but not limited to, interviewing, obtaining physicals, providing patient education, determining initial diagnosis and documentation. Effectively interact with patients, significant others, and other healthcare team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Respond to the unique needs of all patients.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Nursing required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
Preferred: One year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in the same specialty.
Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or must be obtained within thirty (30) days of employment.
