Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, 40 hours a week with occasional evening, weekend hours and holidays. Hours may change based on business need. Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in accounting or business-related field. Experience

Two (2) years’ experience in a customer focused environment involving one of the following: providing account information, customer satisfaction or researching information for successful problem resolution. Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Experience Experience with agency’s exemption process for franchise, sales, and hotel tax Experience providing verbal and written responses to customer requests One (1) year experience planning, organizing and managing workloads to meet production requirements One (1) year experience handling exemptions or exempt entities with a governmental agency Substitutions

Education requirement may be substituted with up to four (4) years of related experience. Licenses and Certifications

N/A In this role you will

Processes application requests for exemptions from state franchise, sales, and hotel tax and communicates with applicants via phone, email, fax and/or regular mail. Organizes, prioritizes and manages workload to meet section production requirements. Communicates tax information to taxpayers. Researches and analyzes tax laws, rules and taxpayer account information. Applies tax statutes, rules and policies to provide information to customers (internal and external) regarding the exemption process. Performs file maintenance and coding of exemption for franchise tax processing. Completes ongoing training and maintains knowledge of tax laws, rules and procedures. Participates in special projects and performs other related duties as assigned. Maximize Your Earnings!
