Studio Front Desk & Membership Sales Associate
Flying Buddha Studio is a movement and wellness center in Gaithersburg, MD. We offer aerial yoga and aerial arts (i.e. lyra, aerial dance) for adults and kids, mat yoga, pole fitness, yoga wall, and bungee classes. We also provide specialized teacher trainings, workshops, special events, and customized private parties and classes for individuals and businesses.
We are seeking a dynamic Front Desk/Membership Sales Associate to serve clients, generate membership sales, and ensure studio operations are efficient and effective. As the “face of Flying Buddha,” the Front Desk Sales Associate must exhibit clear communication, enthusiasm, respect, and kindness. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, excellent customer service, a team‑player attitude, and a passion for yoga, fitness, health, and wellness.
Job Duties
Assist with greeting students and perform all new and existing client check‑in and check‑out activities using MindBody software.
Tour new clients through the facilities and show them how to self‑check in for classes.
Answer in‑person, online, and phone questions promptly and professionally, reporting any issues per our procedures.
Communicate information about new student specials, classes, workshops, services, products, pricing/memberships, promotions, and policies.
Support revenue growth by encouraging membership sign‑ups, increasing attendance for classes and workshops, and promoting merchandise and other studio offerings.
Recommend memberships by highlighting savings, benefits, and added perks; review student profiles and attendance to ensure they’re getting the most value.
Assist with personalized outreach to encourage sign‑ups.
Assist with preparation and breakdown of studio for workshops, trainings, and special events.
Take pictures and videos for social media content.
Perform special projects and other tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Ability to multitask and function under pressure with changing priorities.
Strong sales and customer service skills.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Experience in customer service and/or sales roles.
Experience in retail, yoga, fitness, and/or health industry is a plus.
Experience with MindBody Online and Gmail/G Suite is a plus.
Schedule & Compensation
25% commission on the first month of each membership sale.
