What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Extract clinical information from medical records and assign appropriate procedural terminology and medical codes Review medical documentation to ensure compliance with coding guidelines Conduct peer reviews and provide reports as needed Maintain patient and physician confidentiality while following federal and state guidelines Stay updated on ICD-10 and CPT coding principles and government regulations What is Required (Qualifications)
Must reside in Puerto Rico Bilingual in English and Spanish Minimum of 3 years of outpatient coding and auditing experience, including CPT surgical coding Certified Medical Coder with credentials such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC through AHIMA or AAPC Demonstrated ability to lead process or project initiatives How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
