Night Production Manager – Nampa, ID The Production Manager is responsible for ensuring the department runs smoothly and safely. Under the direction of the Sr. Department Manager, they implement policies and recommend improvements in manufacturing processes and operations.

Key Responsibilities

Enhance the technical and financial performance of the department.

Direct adjustments of the manufacturing process to maintain conformance with standards, specifications, and customer requirements.

Maintain GMP and regulatory requirements.

Ensure compliance with workplace and government standards (FDA, USDA, OSHA, etc.).

Produce reports on volume, yields, quality, productivity, and efficiency.

Collaborate with Production planners to plan weekly schedules.

Build weekly employee schedules, manage vacations for hourly and supervisor reports.

Participate in budget and CAPEX processes and provide data as needed.

Control department supply budget.

Collaborate with outside vendors as required.

Participate in weekly staff meetings and lead weekly maintenance/production meetings.

Work with other department managers to ensure total plant success.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required.

5 years of job‑related experience.

Bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science/Chemistry or a science‑related field preferred.

Five plus years of supervisory experience preferred.

2+ years experience in cheese production and/or food industry.

Experience in food production, packaging, warehouse, or distribution preferred.

Specialized Knowledge

OSHA, Food Safety, FDA, and USDA.

Knowledge of ISO and certifications within the food industry.

Computer and Systems (Microsoft Word and Excel).

Skills & Abilities

Effective and proficient communicator, written and verbal.

Good problem‑solving and analysis skills.

Ability to manage time efficiently and organizational skills.

Effective people management.
