Manager, Statistical Reporting

We are seeking an experienced Statistical Reporting Manager or Supervisor (title dependent on experience level) to ensure timely and accurate reporting of statistical and financial data to various bureaus and state insurance departments, and other rating organizations for all lines of commercial insurance. The selected individual will be a hands‑on leader, working directly with staff to meet individual, department and corporate goals. Key responsibilities include establishing and monitoring procedures and controls to ensure data quality for automated and manual filings reported to states and regulatory bureaus. Works closely with Information Technology, Product Management, Claims, Underwriting, and other departments in developing the required data systems and procedures needed for statistical reporting, including cross training as needed. The leader will organize and manage business meetings to ensure high levels of communication and decision making, and enjoy success leading and managing others. This position is located in our Sarasota, FL office and is eligible for FCCI’s hybrid work schedule, working from home 2 times per week.

Salary Range:
$102,357-$157,629 annually. (Estimate, actual salary varies with education, experience, skills.)
Qualifications Education
Bachelor's or better in Finance or related field (Required)
Experience
Minimum four to six years of progressively responsible experience in Commercial P&C Insurance Statistical Reporting and effective project management skills, including at least one to two years in a supervisory role.
Ability to plan and coordinate work assignments and manage staff or matrix resources as required.
Solid working knowledge of general management principles and practices, including HR.
Advanced knowledge of statistical and financial reporting principles/best practices.
Advanced knowledge of property & casualty insurance, workers' compensation, and surety.
Advanced understanding of commercial P&C regulatory reporting policies and laws and of NCCI and ISO data reporting.
Experience researching and analyzing regulatory bulletins, circulars, and data requests to prepare and submit reports and data calls for ISO, NCCI, state insurance departments and bureaus, and overseeing these functions for the unit.
Ability to convert legal requirements into business operations and systems, including financial and IT systems.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in working with numbers.
Solid working knowledge of auditing principles and practices.
Solid working knowledge of EDP systems and database structures.
Ability to analyze and develop new methods, product services or technology within established policies and procedures.
Experience responding to inquiries from state insurance departments and insurance bureaus, verifying and handling assessments, and developing and maintaining contact with bureau and state regulatory personnel.
Ability to work with a variety of people and maintain effective working relationships; possess excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills for data collection and reporting.
