Senior Electrical Project Estimator
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and driven Senior Electrical Project Estimator to join their growing team. As a strategic contributor to the organization’s continued expansion, the Senior Estimator will play a pivotal role in securing new business, enhancing profitability, and supporting long-term client partnerships. This position offers the chance to operate at a senior level within the Estimating Department, influencing both technical execution and market positioning.
Primary Objective Prepare and manage complete, accurate estimates for electrical construction projects up to $25 million. Ensure competitive pricing, contract compliance, and alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed estimates for large-scale and technically complex projects, including bids exceeding $25M.
Apply advanced trade knowledge to establish accurate unit costs, labor hours, and productivity benchmarks.
Analyze drawings, specifications, and addenda to define full project scope.
Create conceptual budgets and early‑stage estimates to support client planning.
Recommend value engineering solutions to optimize cost and design.
Identify and account for all known risks to safeguard project profitability.
Business Development & Client Engagement
Leverage existing industry relationships to uncover and secure new business opportunities.
Expand the client base through targeted networking and outreach.
Collaborate with business development teams to support strategic growth initiatives.
Serve as a trusted advisor by delivering reliable cost and feasibility data.
Lead the estimating process independently with minimal oversight.
Manage multiple concurrent bids while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Conduct site visits and job walks to refine scope and validate assumptions.
Mentor junior estimators, sharing technical expertise and best practices.
Facilitate thorough project turnovers to Operations for seamless execution.
Draft, issue, and track RFIs for complex bid packages.
Maintain organized records of all estimates, correspondence, and supporting documentation.
Ensure adherence to internal file structures and company standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
8–12 years of progressive estimating experience in electrical construction.
Demonstrated success in bidding and winning projects up to $25 million.
Established relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
Proficiency in Trimble Accubid, Trimble LiveCount, Procore, Pantera, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation capabilities.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple high-value estimates under tight deadlines.

Contributes directly to market strategy and client acquisition efforts.
Salary range: $140,000 – $160,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Base Pay Range $140,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr
