Director, Financial Media Relations
We are seeking an experienced leader to join the Financial Communications and Media Relations team at NBCUniversal (Versant). This dynamic role reports to the VP of Media Relations and focuses on enhancing VERSANT’s visibility with financial stakeholders through strategic media engagement.

Job Description ROLE SUMMARY
VERSANT is seeking a Director of Financial Communications and Media Relations to oversee all aspects of financial media relations and earnings communications, supporting the company's visibility with financial stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the VP of Media Relations and Investor Relations to draft earnings releases, prepared remarks, call scripts, investor Q&A documents, and follow‑up media engagement.
Build and maintain relationships with top‑tier financial and business journalists, positioning VERSANT’s strategy and results in the marketplace.
Ensure all financial communications adhere to SEC rules, Regulation FD, and industry best practices.
Support investor days, analyst meetings, and industry conferences by crafting narratives, speeches, and media framing that reinforce VERSANT’s financial and strategic story.
Monitor analyst coverage, peer communications, and media sentiment; synthesize insights into actionable reporting for senior leadership.
Qualifications
8‑10 years experience in corporate communications, financial communications, investor relations, or related fields.
Direct experience supporting a publicly traded company (in‑house or agency side).
Deep understanding of financial statements, KPIs, capital markets, and disclosure practices.
Proven ability to translate complex financial information into clear, compelling, and compliant communications for investors, analysts, and media.
Demonstrated success building strong relationships with top‑tier business and financial journalists.
Strong writing, editing, and messaging skills across press releases, executive remarks, and media Q&A’s.
Experience navigating SEC disclosure rules, Regulation FD, and governance‑related communications.
Additional Details
Hybrid: This position is designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Subject to change based on manager discussion or business need.

Salary range: $130,000 – $150,000 (bonus and long‑term incentive eligible)
