Overview The Procurement Manager is a critical role that leads coordinated efforts in supply planning, forecasting, logistics, and distribution to ensure supply, quality, and cost competitiveness for Aroma Joe’s franchisees. The position develops and executes sourcing strategies that optimize procurement processes and drive cost savings across the franchise system. The role requires analytical thinking, negotiation skills, and deep supply‑chain knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development:
Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with organizational objectives, considering cost, quality, and supplier performance.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify suppliers, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective sourcing plans.
Organize information concisely for senior leaders to support decision‑making.
Supplier Evaluation and Selection:
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, delivery capability, and overall performance.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to achieve the best value.
Develop and maintain demand forecasts by supplier and item.
Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards, ethics, and regulatory requirements.
Supplier Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration, drive innovation, and resolve issues.
Monitor supplier performance, track KPIs, and implement improvement plans.
Conduct regular business reviews to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Update supplier pricing files and distributor pricing documents.
Cost Optimization and Savings:
Identify cost‑saving opportunities through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, volume leverage, and contract negotiations.
Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply‑demand dynamics to mitigate cost risks.
Analyze spend data and develop metrics to track savings and procurement performance.
Administer and own a SaaS Power Business Intelligence tool; train on the tool and become a subject‑matter expert on spend, invoice, and supplier analytics.
Process Improvement:
Continuously improve sourcing processes and procedures to reduce lead times and ensure compliance.
Establish and update Strategic Sourcing Playbooks.
Implement best practices and technology solutions to streamline procurement operations.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—finance, legal, and operations—to drive process standardization.
Perform all other job functions in support of the business as required.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred; a master’s degree is a plus.
Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to support decision‑making.
Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
In‑depth knowledge of procurement principles, sourcing methodologies, and supply‑chain best practices.
Familiarity with industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers.
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to present effectively.
Strong working knowledge of Excel, Tableau, and/or MicroStrategy.
Salary: $105,000 - $125,000 per year
