About the Position We are looking for an experienced

System Architect

who will be mainly in charge of identifying technical solutions and modeling System Architecture for

Automotive Displays & Clusters (ECU’s) . The role also involves actively participating in benchmarking studies and monitoring market trends for Hardware and Software architecture in the automotive industry.

Your Responsibilities

Contribute to the early definition of the product during the offer phase, ensuring a proper evaluation of the Hardware/Software perimeter, related development, and cost. Coordinate the generation of the Technical Dossier for the offer.

Define and maintain ECU system architecture using appropriate modeling rules and best practices, employing the recommended toolchain (Enterprise Architect/Rhapsody).

Ensure the architecture is modular, scalable, and optimized for performance, safety, and maintainability.

Conduct design and implementation reviews to ensure quality and consistency.

Monitor technology trends on Hardware & Software functionalities and benchmark proposals from vendors.

Serve as a decision‑maker for critical technical choices and trade‑offs.

Map System Requirements related to Hardware, mechanics, optics, and industrial constraints to the System architectural design in cooperation with the System Requirements Engineer.

Elaborate internal System Requirements related to performance goals or architectural constraints, in cooperation with the System Requirements Engineer.

Model the System at functional, logical, and physical levels, allocating System Requirements to Software and Hardware System blocks.

Participate in customer meetings and support the Program Management team, Product Engineer, and Software Project Leader on technical discussions.

Provide governance to the Software team on the different implementation options.

Support the Functional Safety Management Team and the Functional Safety System Architect in the Technical Safety Concept and Requirements definition.

Support the Software and Hardware teams during reviews and implementation of critical requirements.

With the Product Engineer, define the assembled Bill Of Material for the different variants of the product, highlighting variant‑specific sub‑parts and components.

Ensure the generation of the product End‑Of‑Line Configuration File.

Lead the System Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (System FMEA) during the initial phase of project execution.

Support System defect analysis using methodologies such as Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).

Communicate architecture decisions effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Represent the system in technical reviews and workshops with customers and partners.

Build confidence by ensuring transparency and technical rigor.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

10+ years of embedded product development experience in automotive ECU programs.

Strong knowledge of embedded C/C++, RTOS, and microcontroller‑based development.

Experience with Operating Systems (OSEK, AUTOSAR).

Familiarity with communication protocols (CAN, LIN, SPI, Ethernet, UDS, LVDS).

Knowledge of software development standards (ASPICE, ISO 26262).

Prior experience with architecture modeling methodologies and tools (Enterprise Architect, Simulink, UML, SysML).

Understanding of automotive industrialization rules and manufacturing processes (End‑of‑Line, product calibrations).

Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS).

Knowledge of automotive technical, environmental, and homologation standards (JASO, ISO, ECE, etc.).

Proficiency with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence).

Experience with analytic tools (APIS IQ) and methodologies (FMEA, FTA).

Other Skills We Would Welcome

Previous role as a System Architect or Software Architect in automotive product development.

Exposure to multiple ECU domains (Body Control, Infotainment, Instrument Cluster, ADAS, etc.).

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Experience working with OEMs such as Stellantis, Nissan, GM, Ford, VW, BMW, and others.
