Role Overview:
The Manager (financial Planning and Analysis) helps improve overall company profitability by analyzing expenses, client billing, and marketing investments. This role identifies opportunities to reduce costs, increase billable revenue, and measure ROI on business initiatives. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable collaborating across Finance, Sales, and Marketing to turn financial insights into measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities
Audit all company credit card and vendor transactions monthly to identify recurring or excessive spending.
Categorize spending (travel, software, marketing, meals, entertainment, etc.) and flag inefficiencies.
Coordinate with vendors to negotiate better rates or eliminate unused services (e.g., HubSpot, SaaS tools).
Recommend process improvements or spend policies to control costs.
Review customer billing line items for missed billable work or underpriced services.
Benchmark rates against market data and recommend increases where appropriate.
Work with Delivery and Account Management teams to track client-level margins.
Identify revenue leakage and create reports to recover or improve profitability.
ROI on Sales & Marketing Spend
Partner with Sales and Marketing to evaluate ROI on trade shows, sponsorships, digital campaigns, and client entertainment.
Analyze leads and opportunities generated from marketing spend to determine conversion and revenue impact.
Provide insights on customer acquisition cost (CAC) and lifetime value (LTV) across campaigns.
Recommend reallocation of marketing budgets to higher-performing initiatives.
Reporting & Insights
Build and maintain financial dashboards summarizing spend, revenue, and ROI trends.
Prepare monthly reports with clear action items and measurable results.
Track and document the financial impact of implemented recommendations.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Annual cost savings achieved through vendor and spend optimization.
Increase in average billable rates or recovered revenue.
ROI improvement on marketing and travel investments.
Reduction in redundant or low-value vendor contracts.
Accuracy and timeliness of analysis and reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or vendor management.
Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills (Power BI or Tableau a plus).
Familiarity with CRMs (HubSpot, Salesforce) and accounting platforms (QuickBooks, NetSuite, etc.).
Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
Highly organized and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Base Salary:
$75,000 USD per year.
Bonus:
Performance-based (tied to savings and ROI improvements).
