We are seeking a
Legal Executive Assistant
for our client, a well‑known and respected AmLaw firm, to join their Boston office. This is a direct‑hire, permanent position with full benefits.
Base pay range: $44.00/hr – $73.00/hr (DOE/DOL).
Hybrid schedule: 3 days on site / 2 days remote.
Responsibilities
Manages attorney projects and tracks deadlines to ensure timely completion.
Coordinates with attorneys and admin teams to meet project goals.
Acts as a liaison between attorneys, clients, and departments, handling inquiries and messages.
Uses judgment to respond on behalf of the attorney when needed.
Builds strong working relationships across teams to support collaboration.
Gives clear instructions and feedback to improve team performance.
Resolves conflicts and works well with all levels of staff.
Assigns tasks to LSAs and AskLegalSupport, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Tracks assignment progress and communicates updates to support teams.
Shares service feedback and suggests improvements to management.
Partners with other LEAs or LAAs on complex projects and admin support.
Mentors LSAs and supports their development.
Provides ongoing feedback to LSAs for growth and improvement.
Drafts, edits, and finalizes legal documents, emails, and presentations.
Reviews work for accuracy and gives feedback to support teams.
Maintains organized electronic and paper filing systems in the firm’s DMS.
Conducts research and gathers materials for cases and briefings.
Works with support teams to complete presentations and related documents.
Plans meetings and coordinates logistics with internal and external parties.
Prepares agendas and ensures materials are ready and available.
Supports meeting attendees and follows up on requests made during meetings.
Oversees billing tasks, including approvals and correspondence.
Ensures prebills and final bills are processed accurately and on time.
Follows up on billing issues and acts as a proxy for the attorney.
Manages the attorney’s calendar, meetings, and travel plans.
Resolves scheduling conflicts and offers solutions.
Assigns expense and time entries to AskLegalSupport for timely processing.
Qualifications
Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED.
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum Experience: 5 years in an administrative role supporting senior leadership in a corporate or legal setting.
