About Chief's
Chief's is a six-story bar and live music venue celebrating the ever-expanding musical legacy of Eric Church. Located in the heart of downtown Nashville, Chief's features a ticketed music venue, inspirational interiors, and a distinct focus on original live performances-offering fans an unmatched entertainment experience in Music City. The venue includes a broadcast studio, home to Church's Outsiders Radio on SiriusXM, with capabilities to host programming from a range of media partners. Culinary offerings are in collaboration with James Beard Award–winning pitmaster Rodney Scott, available throughout the space. On the fifth floor, Redemption Bar, a new concept developed with award-winning artist Ashley McBryde, is dedicated to spotlighting original music and emerging talent. Chief's is located at the corner of 2nd Avenue and Broadway.

About the Role The Event Manager acts as the bridge between the sales team, operations, production, culinary teams, and the client. Once the sales process is complete and the contract is signed, this role takes full ownership of the client relationship, guiding them through every detail of planning, coordination, and execution until the event's successful completion. It is both strategic and hands-on, requiring exceptional communication, meticulous organization, and a service-driven mindset. You''ll manage all aspects of the event planning and execution process, from BEO creation and vendor coordination to on-site oversight and client communication.
This role requires a proactive, team-first approach, often stepping in alongside operations to ensure every event is executed at the highest standard.
What You Will Do Event Detailing & Planning
Serve as the primary client contact after the sales handoff through post-event follow-up.
Develop detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and communicate event specifics across departments.
Identify opportunities to upsell beverage upgrades, menu enhancements, or experiential activations.
Lead internal meetings with culinary, beverage, AV, and operations teams to ensure alignment on event needs.
Manage all event timelines, room setups, and F&B logistics in coordination with department heads.
Conduct pre-event meetings, tastings, and walkthroughs with clients and internal teams.
Liaise with vendors and suppliers to secure necessary services and products for events.
Event Operations & Logistics
Handle practical event preparations, including gathering supplies and service equipment from on-site and off-site storage areas.
Must possess a valid driver's license and be comfortable transporting event materials as needed.
Create and distribute event signage, wristbands, drink tickets, and other guest-facing materials in coordination with the Director of Events.
Maintain organization of event inventory such as linens, décor, glassware, and collateral, ensuring readiness for upcoming events.
Support event setup and breakdown, ensuring service and presentation meet Chief's standards.
Act as the on-site point of contact for both client and operations during events.
Resolve issues quickly and calmly, maintaining professionalism and guest satisfaction.
Monitor service quality, adjusting in real time as needed.
Verify AV, lighting, and room environment are aligned with client expectations.
Post-Event & Administration
Conduct post-event follow-up with clients to confirm satisfaction and gather feedback.
Reconcile billing and ensure accuracy of event charges prior to invoicing.
Update and maintain event files, BEOs, and notes in venue management systems.
Communicate lessons learned or opportunities for improvement to leadership.

Combine logistical precision with creative problem-solving, and you don\'t mind rolling up your sleeves to ensure everything runs smoothly
Your Qualifications Required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in event management, catering, or hospitality operations.
Experience in planning and executing on-premises events from end to end.
Proven ability to communicate effectively across departments and with individuals at all levels, from Fortune 500 corporate clients to internal service teams.
Results oriented with exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed for events.
Passion for delivering exceptional service.
Proficiency in BEO and event management software (Tripleseat, etc.) preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for extended periods
Must be able to sustain loud noise volume
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (as needed during event setup)
