The University of Vermont’s Department of Student Life is searching for our next Coordinator for Fraternity & Sorority Life. What is the role?

The Coordinator for Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) is a vital member of the Student Involvement team, playing a key role in fostering leadership, community, and engagement within UVM’s FSL community. This position works directly with students on a daily basis, providing advising support to a council and several chapters, while also coordinating programs that enhance the overall fraternity and sorority experience. With a strong emphasis on leadership development and risk mitigation, the Coordinator will collaborate with a wide range of individuals, including students, administrators, advisors, and national headquarters representatives making relationship-building a crucial component of success in this role. They should demonstrate strong administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to manage detailed information, multiple projects, and follow through effectively. The successful candidate will also be a strong communicator, an active listener, and a collaborative team player who thrives in an environment that values diverse perspectives and teamwork. The ability to work independently and manage responsibilities is essential.
