Shift Differential Pay: Weekday Day Shift 12 hrs (2.50%), Weekday Night Shift 12 hrs (10%).

Job Description The Environmental Monitoring Associate is responsible for monitoring biological and airborne particulate levels in clean room environments to support preparation, compounding, and production of sterile injectable drug products. The Associate will be trained in aseptic behavior, sanitization, gowning, use of environmental software applications, and documentation.
Training Requirements (First 6 months)
Environmental and Product Sampling
Collect environmental and product samples within ISO 8 cleanroom environments during extended shifts (8, 10, or 12 hours).
Perform gown sampling, area clearance, and product sampling in accordance with departmental procedures and GMP standards.
Monitoring Equipment and Software Use – Operate environmental monitoring and testing equipment, including software such as MODA.
Maintain equipment readiness and report any issues or deviations promptly.
Preparation and Sterilization of Supplies – Prepare and organize sampling supplies; operate autoclaves.
Sample Processing and Incubation – Verify and incubate environmental samples; ensure documentation and traceability.
Documentation and Data Integrity – Enter and verify sample data using MODA and other EM systems.
SOP Compliance and Training – Read, understand, and follow applicable SOPs; maintain SOP training status.
Aseptic Gowning Certification – Obtain and maintain certification for entry into controlled environments.
Support Requalification and Media Fill Activities – Assist in requalification sampling and media fill qualification processes.
Cleanroom Entry and Alarm Response – Follow badge access protocols; respond to BAS user alarms.
Qualifications
Minimum 1‑year pharmaceutical or laboratory experience.
Strong work ethic; some overtime will be required.
Knowledge of cGMPs, operation of autoclaves, aseptic technique, and basic computer skills.
Ability to read and understand procedures with little assistance.
Excellent written communication – memos with correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
Experience with MS Word and Excel; software aptitude required.
Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity; ability to lift 25 lbs unassisted, work prolonged standing and sitting, twisting.
Physical balance and dexterity required for aseptic gowning.
Maintain high personal hygiene; no open wounds, fake nails, perfume, cosmetics in aseptic environments.
