Sales Administrator Job Overview The Sales Administrator is accountable for enhancing the customer experience related to quotation & quotation follow‑up, order acknowledgement, pricing, order status, CRM updates, and representing the voice of the customer (VOC) within the organization. The role includes conducting research on target markets and customers to improve the sales process and related administrative activities.

Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate development, monitoring, and analysis of sales reporting programs.

Assist with customer account management.

RFQ submittal, maintenance, and customer follow‑up for additional discovery.

Qualify inbound requests received through website, email and phone calls.

Set up new and maintain current customers in the ERP/CRM system.

Complete supplier surveys and questionnaires.

Manage supplier portal requirements.

Review & update quarterly sales forecast.

Update & communicate customer order status.

Order review (rev level, completeness/accuracy, etc.) and backup order entry as needed.

Occasional travel up to 5‑10% possible.

Other duties as needed.

Requirements

Exceptional organization and communication skills (verbal and written).

Ability to enter, extract and interpret information into/from an ERP (Epicor preferred) system.

Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and ability to work cross‑functionally.

Qualifications

Education: A four‑year degree preferred (Business Administration or Mechanical Engineering).

Experience: +5 years in the same or equivalent role, ideally within a manufacturing organization.

Physical and Mental Demands

Frequent sitting – primarily a desk‑based role with extended periods of computer and phone use.

Occasional standing and walking – required during meetings, facility tours and travel.

Occasional travel – for customer visits.

Intermittent lifting/carrying – may occasionally lift light materials (e.g., laptops, documents).

Frequent use of hands/fingers – typing, writing, and use of office equipment.

Working Environment

Office environment within a manufacturing setting.

Noise level typically moderate.
