Job Duties and Responsibilities

Grading of examinations, reports, and/or assigning final grades.

Preparation of examination or class materials.

Organization of course.

Assistance provided to faculty in the teaching or advising of students registered in specific courses.

Supervision or instruction of laboratory classes, recitation sections or intern groups.

Academic administrative duties directly related to administration of a course.

Appointment Details / Work Schedule

Spring Semester Appointment

Expected Start and End Dates: 01/08/2026 - 05/24/2026

Appointment Percentage / Hours

Standard hours are dependent upon course assignment.

Expected 12.5% - 50% time appointment (5-20 hours per week)

Work Location & Schedule

UMN St. Paul Campus; Department of Food Science & Nutrition

Between 5 - 20 hours per week depending on appointment percentage, Monday through Friday varying hours based on course times, etc.

Qualifications Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree Required

Student must be registered in a graduate or post-baccalaureate professional degree program at the University of Minnesota. Please review: Eligibility for Graduate Assistant Employment.

Preferred Skills or Experience

Teaching Assistant experience is a plus

Communication and organizational skills are a plus.

Pay and Benefits Pay Range:

$27.95 per hour
