$70,977 – $199,722 (at 100%)

Position Overview The Division of Undergraduate Education seeks a lecturer for the 2026 Winter and Spring Quarters (Jan–Jun 2026) for the two-course sequence UNI STU H30E “Cities: Focal Point for Sustainability Problems and Solutions I” and UNI STU H30F “Cities: Focal Point for Sustainability Problems and Solutions II.” The sequence explores urban challenges and sustainability solutions, integrating active-learning, communication skill development, and community partnership projects.

Responsibilities

Lead instruction, assessment, and student support for both courses during the specified quarters.

Design and deliver lectures, discussions, group projects and presentations using active-learning methodologies.

Coordinate community partner projects and facilitate real‑world sustainability research activities.

Prepare and grade assignments, exams, and project deliverables in accordance with departmental policies.

Maintain communication with students, faculty, and community partners to ensure course goals are met.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in urban studies, sustainability, or a related field.

Broad knowledge of contemporary urban challenges, technical & social constraints, and sustainability interventions.

Demonstrated experience teaching using active‑learning approaches.
