Job Description
We are looking for a strong individual to assist the general manager with the day-to‑day operations of the restaurant, including staff management, customer service and inventory.
Responsibilities
Hire, train and mentor new staff, set job expectations and conduct performance reviews.
Resolve guest questions and complaints and ensure a positive dining experience.
Place orders for ingredients, utensils and equipment and manage inventory.
Schedule shifts and assign table sections to waitstaff.
Manage payroll.
Ensure the restaurant follows health and safety regulations.
Record income and expenses, and balance cash registers.
Coordinate between back‑ and front‑of‑house staff.
Use problem‑solving and decision‑making skills to resolve issues.
Qualifications
Strong leadership skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and lead a team.
Passion for the hospitality industry.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Previous supervisory experience in a restaurant.
Experience using payroll software.
Accounting and arithmetic skills.
Bachelor's Degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
