Job Overview LaMarca Construction is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to lead our pre-construction and estimating efforts. In this full-time, onsite role, you will work closely with subcontractors, analyze bid documents, and generate accurate takeoffs and pricing for hotel renovation projects nationwide. If you're exceptional with numbers, confident cold calling subcontractors, and experienced in subcontracting rather than self-performing work, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
Review and interpret bid documents, blueprints, and project specifications
Perform detailed on-screen quantity takeoffs and compile data into Excel spreadsheets
Prepare accurate estimates for materials, labor, and subcontracted services
Solicit and negotiate bids from subcontractors and suppliers
Define and clarify scopes of work for multiple trades
Reach out to local building officials to understand jurisdiction-specific permitting needs
Serve as a pre-construction point of contact for client questions and clarifications
Finalize estimates and provide detailed handoff to the project management team
Qualifications
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience estimating commercial renovations up to $5 million
High school diploma or GED required
Expertise in subcontractor-driven estimating (not self-perform)
Strong proficiency in on-screen takeoff software and Excel (mandatory)
Excellent understanding of architectural and construction drawings/specs
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to lead and manage multiple estimates simultaneously
Familiarity with permitting processes and local jurisdiction requirements
Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting tight deadlines
