Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery / Med-Surg Float (Travel Assignment) . Location: Memphis, MO. Job Type: Travel Contract. Duration: 13 weeks. Shift: 3×12 Nights (7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.). Pay:
$2,507.40/week
(plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts). Job Description
ATC Healthcare is seeking a versatile and experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Memphis, Missouri. This unique position requires the RN to provide care in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery, as well as assist or float to the Medical-Surgical unit when census is low. The ideal candidate is adaptable, compassionate, and comfortable working across multiple patient populations, including laboring mothers, newborns, and general med-surg patients. Orientation to the Med-Surg unit will be provided prior to assuming float responsibilities. Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in all phases of labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care. Assist with labor support, monitor fetal heart tones, and respond to obstetric emergencies as needed. Administer prescribed medications and perform newborn assessments, documentation, and education for families. Float to the Med-Surg unit as needed to assist with patient care, including monitoring, medication administration, and documentation. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe and efficient patient care delivery. Maintain accurate and detailed records in the facility’s EMR system (Meditech). Adhere to all infection control, safety, and hospital policy standards. Participate in weekend rotation (every other weekend). Qualifications
Active Missouri RN license or Compact State RN license (required). Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred). Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, or Mother/Baby (required). Must be comfortable floating to Med-Surg and providing patient care assistance when assigned. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, and Fetal Monitoring (required). Ability to adapt quickly to changing unit needs and patient populations. Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and multitasking skills. COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions accepted). Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test required. Benefits
