Senior Historic Preservation Planner – Town of Telluride, CO The Town of Telluride is seeking a Senior Historic Preservation Planner to join its team.

The Senior Historic Preservation Planner works under the direction of the Historic Preservation & Planning Director to ensure that new development and restoration projects honor Telluride’s architectural legacy while meeting local codes and design standards. The role includes reviewing and guiding development applications, advising property owners and architects, supporting the Historic Architectural Review Commission (HARC) through research and public presentations, administering grants, coordinating projects, and educating the community on preservation values and best practices.

Base Pay Range:

$88,745.00/yr – $124,242.00/yr

Seniority Level: Mid‑Senior level Employment Type: Full‑time

Responsibilities

Review and guide development applications to ensure compliance with historic preservation standards.

Advise property owners and architects on historic preservation requirements.

Support the Historic Architectural Review Commission (HARC) through research, technical guidance, and public presentations.

Administer grants and coordinate preservation projects.

Lead community education on preservation values and best practices.
