We are looking for an experienced investment services Strategic Financial Technical Writer to join our team in the Naperville, Illinois office. This is a hybrid work opportunity (In‑office M/W/TH).

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and strategic RFP professional to lead the development of high‑quality, customized responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) for our public sector investment services. This role plays a key part in positioning PTMA’s capabilities in competitive processes and contributes to firm‑wide business development strategy.

The ideal candidate brings a strong command of investment products, exceptional writing skills, and experience working cross‑functionally with investment, compliance, and client‑facing teams. This role requires strategic thinking, excellent judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline‑driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of customized RFP, RFI, and DDQ responses for investment advisory, LGIP, and other public‑sector‑focused services

Manage and continuously improve PTMA’s RFP content library and proposal templates to ensure consistency, accuracy, and competitive positioning

Collaborate with marketing, sales, investment, legal, and compliance teams to tailor responses and ensure technical and regulatory accuracy

Drive quality control, version management, and on‑time delivery of all proposal materials

Track and report on proposal pipeline and win/loss trends to inform future strategy

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, communications, or a related field

Minimum 5‑7 years of experience responding to RFPs within investment management or financial services, with direct experience supporting institutional or public sector clients

Advanced writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail

Demonstrated understanding of investment products, including separately managed accounts, LGIPs, fixed income, and public finance services

Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to juggle multiple priorities under tight deadlines

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with RFP content databases required; Expedience experience strongly preferred

Collaborative and professional communication style, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and subject matter experts

Self‑directed, resourceful, and proactive in solving challenges and elevating the firm’s competitive positioning
