Summary of Position Reports to: Director of Credentialing Status: Full‑time
What You’ll Do
Compile and maintain accurate data for all providers.
Complete provider credentialing and recredentialing applications; monitor applications and follow‑up as needed.
Maintain copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage, and other required credentialing documents.
Maintain corporate provider contract files.
Keep knowledge of current health plans and agency requirements for credentialing providers.
Set up and maintain provider information in online credentialing databases and system.
Track license and certification expirations for all providers to ensure timely renewals.
Ensure practice addresses are current with health plans, agencies, and other entities.
Process applications for appointment and reappointment of privileges.
Track license, DEA and professional liability expirations.
Maintain ASC appointment files and information in credentialing database.
Audit health plan directories for accurate provider information.
Maintain confidentiality of provider information.
Provide credentialing and privileging verifications.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
Advanced knowledge of the payer enrollment and credentialing process.
Advanced knowledge of Medicare (PECOS), Medicaid and payer enrollment platforms.
Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including letters, memos and emails.

Ability to research and analyze data.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with providers, management, staff, and contacts outside the organization.
Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access) and internet resources.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, public health, or a related field is required; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in healthcare payer enrollment, credentialing, or data provider management.
At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting, focused on managing payer enrollment processes and team performance.
Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance enrollment requirements.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex enrollment workflows, resolve payer‑related issues, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Proficiency in credentialing and enrollment platforms such as CAQH, PECOS, and NPPES.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, healthcare billing practices, and provider credentialing standards.
Professional certifications such as CPCS (Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist) or CPMSM (Certified Professional Medical Services Management) are highly desirable.
