Job Summary Stratus is seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Manufacturing Engineer to lead the creation, optimization, and management of Bills of Materials (BOMs) within our ERP system. This role is critical to ensuring our signage, brand implementation, and energy solutions projects are executed with precision, cost-efficiency, and scalability. The Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate across engineering, estimating, production, and field services to translate CAD models into structured, manufacturable components and drive standardization across product lines.
Responsibilities
Create, configure, and maintain BOMs in the IFS ERP system, ensuring accuracy and alignment with manufacturing capabilities.
Translate 2D and 3D CAD models (AutoCAD and SolidWorks) into structured component assemblies.
Standardize components and product families to improve manufacturing efficiency, cost control, and inventory management.
Troubleshoot BOM-related issues and provide timely resolutions to maintain production continuity.
Apply principles of manufacturability, value engineering, and installation requirements to product design.
Collaborate with manufacturing to adjust materials based on availability and production needs.
Analyze production data to identify opportunities for process and cost improvements.
Support new product introductions by developing and refining BOMs during prototyping and pilot phases.
Work closely with design, estimating, and production teams to ensure BOM accuracy and alignment with operational workflows.
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, approved methods, and quality requirements.
Liaise with procurement and field services to ensure BOMs reflect accurate material specifications and installation requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred. Equivalent work experience in manufacturing operations, engineering support, or production planning will be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering preferred, ideally in signage, fabrication, or facilities services.
