Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, or related discipline
Knowledgeable of mechanical manufacturing processes
Understanding of blueprints and engineering drawings
Strong communication skills for cross‑functional coordination and program liaison tasks
Desired Skills
Experience developing or modifying manufacturing plans and work instructions
Experience with PTC Creo or similar CAD software
Experience with prototype or one‑off part builds
Familiarity with machining, assembly or other mechanical manufacturing processes
Ability to manage multiple projects with changing priorities
Responsibilities
Develop and execute manufacturing plans for a wide variety of development and prototype hardware (machining, welding, sheet metal, etc.)
Provide design‑for‑manufacturing input to improve producibility and support long‑term hardware transition to production
Lead rapid response to part defects, including on‑the‑fly planning and process changes
Serve as liaison to development program teams – supporting labor estimating, planning reviews and weekly/biweekly status reporting
Manufacturing Engineer (E1621: Manufacturing Engineer Asc) – supporting rapid development and prototype programs with the Production Development Rapid Response (PDRR) team. Fast‑paced, high‑impact role owning projects from estimation through delivery.
