Job Description Role Overview: Power Up Your Potential

Join Amcor as an

Electronics Technician

and put your expertise to work supporting our cutting‑edge production equipment. In this role, you’ll conduct troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Your skills will ensure our operations remain safe, efficient, and reliable—directly impacting Amcor’s ability to deliver high‑quality packaging solutions worldwide.

Schedule

Shift: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $31.98–$35+/hour (based on experience) + $1.50/night shift premium

Overtime: 1.5× pay for hours over 40 per week

401(k): Dollar‑for‑dollar match up to 8%

What You’ll Do

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including PLCs, HMIs, power supplies, VFDs, and servo drives.

Perform installations, start‑ups, and shutdowns in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards.

Provide technical expertise to operators and mechanics on safe operation of electrical/electronic equipment.

Develop and maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

Support preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.

Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to improve equipment reliability.

Assist with training and mentoring maintenance personnel.

Provide on‑site and occasional after‑hours troubleshooting support for production equipment.

Participate in equipment upgrades, commissioning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Technology OR 5+ years of related manufacturing experience.

Journeyman Electricians License is a plus.

Proficiency with Allen Bradley, Siemens, Wonderware, and Beckhoff systems.

Strong knowledge of PLC programming, electrical/electronic troubleshooting, and multiple HMI applications.

Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.

Effective communication and problem‑solving skills with the ability to make quick, sound decisions.

Ability to work safely with high‑voltage equipment in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

Stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Work on and around machinery for extended periods.

Use hands, arms, and tools for electrical troubleshooting and repair.

Perform tasks in a fast‑paced production environment.
