Overview
As a Mammo Tech at St. Luke's Woodlands Hospital, you will perform mammographic, stereotactic biopsy, and breast pathology localizations procedures. You must have a solid knowledge of imaging equipment and proper patient positioning, and you’ll continuously strive to deliver a positive experience to our patients and their caregivers. Responsibilities
Operate specialized mammography, stereotactic biopsy, and bone densitometry equipment. Perform direct patient care and a variety of technical procedures to produce diagnostic images for breast diseases and osteoporosis evaluation. Select and modify patient positioning for mammographic, stereotactic biopsy, breast pathology localization, and bone density procedures. Provide patient education during mammography exams. Conduct mandatory quality control of radiographic equipment, screens, and processing to meet ACR, MQSA, and state regulations; maintain daily repeat/reject image analysis. Assist the radiologist with all invasive procedures, document procedures, and render first aid when necessary; maintain biopsy report correlation with pathology reports. Coordinate with the O.R., central scheduling, physicians, or office staff to schedule invasive breast procedures. Education
Associate’s Degree preferred. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R) with Mammography (M). Must maintain current certification by the State of Texas (MRT). CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association). Job Requirements
One year of experience as a radiologic technologist is required. Preferred Experience

The Woodlands Hospital is a primary and secondary care facility serving North Harris and Montgomery counties. Clinical services include cardiovascular services, diagnostic imaging, women’s services (digital mammography and bone density studies), neurosciences, pediatric care, surgery, pathology, pulmonary services, and sleep disorders. Clinical affiliations include The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Radiation Treatment Center and Texas Children’s Hospital. Pay Range
$32.38 - $48.17 /hour
