Hiring pay range:
$37.64 - $46.10/hr ($78,291.20 - $95,888.00/an)
Full pay range:
$37.64 - $54.57/hr ($78,291.20 - $113,505.60/an)
Supervision
Lead: Performs lead worker duties as assigned. Responsible for training new Property Tax Specialists. Is responsible for assigning and reviewing daily work, assisting with problems, and identifying areas requiring additional training and support for Property Tax Specialists. Participates in the staff evaluation process.
General Purpose Of Job
Under the County Treasurer, administers all financial operations of the Treasurer’s office. May collaborate in the development of the annual budget. Prepares and submits financial statements and reports. Ensures proper accounting for all monies received and disbursed. Works with County Treasurer to ensure financial integrity of the department and compliance with all accounting and financial standards. Keeps abreast of changes in governmental accounting standards and procedures as they relate to their effect on overall operations. Makes recommendations to management regarding updates to accounting policies that relate to the financial recording.

Finance Administration
May work with the planning and preparation of the annual budget.
Makes recommendations for establishing, implementing, modifying, and revising financial and accounting policies, standards, procedures, and practices.
Directly or indirectly prepares required and requested accounting and budget reports, fiscal analyses, and other financial reports.
Monitors all cash receipts and deposits to ensure proper accountability for funds received and disbursed; coordinates the monthly reconciliation of all bank accounts and reports to the Treasurer what is necessary to maintain adequate account balances for all of the County’s banking needs.
Performs analytical reviews of County financial records to ensure accuracy and reasonableness and identify and resolve discrepancies which cannot be resolved by other staff.
Researches and resolves a variety of complex issues related to financial activities.
Assists Treasurer with sales tax budget and distribution calculations; coordinates month end balancing and reporting; distributes funds monthly to taxing authorities.
Coordinates the annual transfer of the certified property tax records for the county; assists with annual mailing of tax notices meeting all statutory deadlines.
Maintains knowledge of current governmental finance and accounting principles and implements new or revised policies and procedures in order to comply with legal and accounting regulations.
Other duties as assigned.

Government Finance: Knowledge of practices and procedures specific to finance and governmental accounting principles, including fiscal and budgetary management and tracking.
