Director, Food and Packaging Procurement Restaurant Supply Chain Solutions, LLC, a Yum! Brands Co-op, is currently seeking a Director to join the Food and Packaging Procurement team in Louisville, KY.

Position Overview This position is accountable for providing leadership of establishing and on‑going management of the purchase of select items through our distribution partners to drive breakthrough results in cost, service, and risk reduction across a variety of food, packaging, and operational items supporting Yum! Brands (Taco Bell, KFC, Pizza Hut, Habit Burger & Grill) and A&W in support of our broader distribution strategy. The role will develop and execute critical processes for the alignment and selection of target items, solicit costs, conduct financial and feasibility assessment, and lead ongoing monitoring of pricing. The Director will identify opportunities for optimization and present recommendations to executive leadership for alignment and approval.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the Non‑Custom Buy (NCB) strategy and workstream to align items with brands, procurement, and distribution.

Secure pricing and specifications on NCB items from distributors and evaluate financial impact.

Develop and implement risk assessments and broader strategies that could impact NCB decision‑making.

Present final recommendations on NCB baskets to executive leadership for alignment and approval.

Monitor price changes, negotiate adjustments, and engage category sourcing managers and commodity risk management.

Develop forecasts, reconcile cost of goods related to NCB items, and report cost improvement to finance.

Create tracking and monitoring tools to assess contractual commitments and identify strategies to close gaps.

Facilitate annual reviews of NCB items to identify opportunities for removal or addition to optimize value.

Identify margin improvement opportunities to lower landed cost of NCB items and support implementation.

Collaborate with brand resources to review and approve requested specifications and supply source changes.

Partner with distribution team to ensure a freight network that optimizes cost and supply assurance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).

5 to 7 years of procurement experience or at least 5 years of broader supply chain experience.

Prefer experience in food/packaging manufacturing or restaurant/QSR industry.

Strong analytical, planning, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

Superior organizational skills and a proactive, results‑driven mindset.

Ability to collaborate with, influence, and build strong cross‑functional stakeholder relationships.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Travel expected to be less than 5%.
