Position Overview NTT is hiring a highly energetic Tier‑3 senior security lead engineer to join our Security Operations Center. Our engineers are responsible for managing large enterprise network and security infrastructure. This security engineer is a senior technical leader responsible for planning, design, policy management, monitoring, as well as troubleshooting and resolution of security threats and incidents. This role requires in‑depth technical expertise in networking, security, and cloud infrastructure. This lead engineer will work within a team of security engineers, network engineers, operation support engineers, and suppliers to support NTT Global Network’s customers.
Primary Responsibilities
Secure, operate, and maintain enterprise customer network and security infrastructure
Provide customer support with monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, and resolving security device and Cloud security services functionality issues
Perform network, security equipment, and SSE/cloud security services configuration updates and software upgrades
Optimize enterprise on‑premises based as well as SSE/cloud‑based security services functionality to detect, avoid, respond, and mitigate attacks and security vulnerabilities
Implement security technology projects including design, proof of concept testing, and configuration for enterprise customers
Perform on‑premises and SSE/cloud‑based security design reviews, and develop detailed health assessment and remediation deployment plans
Design and implement AI‑driven automation to proactively identify security issues, optimize mitigation, and reduce manual intervention across edge and cloud environments
Provide consulting to enterprise customers for IT security compliance and policies
Train junior network and security engineers on cutting‑edge security technologies
Serve as an escalation contact for engineers working on complex issues and designs
On‑call for escalated security issues
Required Skills and Experience
A minimum of seven years of experience as a security engineer, with strong hands‑on network, security, and application troubleshooting experience
Detailed hands‑on technical experience in the operational support of security solutions
Knowledgeable of security products such as cloud‑delivered security services, SASE/SSE, CASB, zero trust access, next‑generation firewalls, web security, SSL/TLS protocols, DNS security, anti‑malware, DDOS, DLP, NAC, and zero‑day attack
Experience with deployment and management of Firewall/IDS/IPS including Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, and Checkpoint
Experience with deployment and management of cloud security infrastructure including AWS, MS Azure, OpenStack, CloudStack, Netskope, Palo Alto Prisma, and ZScaler
Experience with deployment and management of Network Access Control technologies including Cisco ISE and Aruba ClearPass
Experience with deployment and management of Load Balancers including F5 BigIP LTM/GTM and Citrix ADC
Experience with deployment and management of SSL technologies including Palo Alto Global Protect and Zscaler
Experience with SIEM products including QRadar and Microsoft Sentinel
Experience in security penetration testing and security infrastructure assessments
Experience with zero trust setups and AAA/TACACS frameworks such as segmentation, single sign‑on, multi‑factor authentication, and AD integration
Strong knowledge of automation and scripting languages such as Python and Perl
Expert level knowledge of IP networking and technologies across a range of infrastructure including SD‑WAN, LAN/WAN, IP routing protocols, VLANs, ACLs, and VoIP
Knowledge of security compliance standards and frameworks, such as GDPR and guidelines in major industry verticals
Ability to engage in technical discussions with enterprise customer network and security architects
Excellent computer skills including Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems
Additional Requirements
Bachelor of Science Degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience
Security Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, CEH
Familiarity with enterprise security controls and security best practices
Track record of getting things done quickly and with quality
Ability to manage multiple projects while aligning to resources, priorities, and timelines
Prior experience working on global teams that provide 24x7 support to customers
Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed to accommodate global team
Ability to work effectively with customers, senior management, staff, and suppliers
