Endoscopy Technician – PRN Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital – Florida region. Join our team of caregivers that remain on the leading edge of technology and education while providing patient‑centered healthcare.

As an Endoscopy Technician, you will support physicians with various exams and procedures, ensuring safety, comfort, and education throughout the entire process. You will also assist with general patient care, such as admissions, room set‑up, transport, and related tasks. This position provides extensive hands‑on experience, on‑the‑job training, and exposure to the latest technologies.

Work schedule: days from 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, with on‑call requirements.

Responsibilities

Assist physicians with all endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopies, esophagogastroduodenoscopies (EGD), ERCP, flexible sigmoidoscopies, and EUS.

Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of all endoscopes and complete all documentation logs and records.

Assist the RN with patient care, including admission of patients, setting up rooms, transporting patients, patient recovery, and final cleaning of rooms.

Assist nurses and physicians in all aspects of GI procedures, such as stocking rooms with equipment and supplies and maintaining proper procedures for cleaning and storing endoscopes.

Change chemical sterilants and clean scope washers.

Assess endoscopes daily, report any damage to the director, and prepare and send out scopes for repair.

Transport specimens.

Make pre‑op calls to patients to obtain preliminary information.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

One year of experience in a hospital setting.

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMT) Certifications.
