The role supports the Global Security Executive Protection Program by traveling with the CEO/Chairman and other executives, developing and supporting security plans and logistics for special projects and high‑profile events. Candidates must be fully vaccinated with a COVID‑19 vaccine before starting work.

Responsibilities

Conduct security advances and provide protective services to ensure effective residential, work and travel security programs.

Provide travel safety and security briefings to flight crews traveling abroad; conduct airport, hotel and venue security assessments at new destinations.

Coordinate special projects designated by the Manager – Executive Protection, such as Annual Stockholder Meetings, International Board Meetings, industry conferences and other high‑profile events.

Conduct threat and vulnerability assessments on domestic travel itineraries for senior executives; provide risk assessments, develop contingency plans and make recommendations to mitigate identified risks.

Develop and maintain working relationships with stakeholders, including company personnel and contractors, business unit management, administrative staff, senior industry peers, government agencies, security vendors and federal, state and local law enforcement agencies.

Provide travel safety and security advice and counsel to U.S.‑based employees traveling abroad.

Collaborate with executive drivers to ensure coordination and facilitation of executive travel to and from local events; conduct transportation security advances and executive driving services when directed.

Provide oversight and coordination of third‑party service providers to mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities of office spaces, executive residences, vehicles and, as appropriate, certain events and venues.

Travel internationally to provide Executive Protection or support other Global Security requirements as required.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

Minimum 10 years of professional experience (law enforcement, military, private sector) with proven experience in executive/dignitary protection, including risk analysis and advance planning.

A valid driver’s license and ability to operate motor vehicles.

Certification in AED/First Aid/CPR, or ability to obtain certification.

International security‑related professional experience.

Candidacy must communicate effectively and concisely both verbally and in writing; must be comfortable interacting with senior level executives, board members and government representatives.

Excellent planning and analytical skills.

Ability to work within a team as well as independently; ability to work long hours including weekends.

Self‑directed, demonstrating initiative, adaptability to changing priorities, meeting deadlines and functioning with minimal guidance.

Valid passport and capability to travel domestically and internationally, meeting the company’s travel requirements (approximately 40‑50%).

Eligible to complete a federal background check and training to become an Armed Security Officer through the Transportation Security Administration.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree.

Foreign language skills.

Valid EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) Basic certification.

Relocation Options Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.

International Considerations Expatriate assignments will not be considered. Chevron is unable to sponsor employment visas or consider individuals on time‑limited visa status for this position.
