Job Summary
Lead a team of engineers to manage Transmission Substation Capital Programs, ensuring system reliability at lowest possible costs. Oversee budget planning, project execution, and cross‑functional communication.
Responsibilities
Develop and prioritize substation capital budget and drive five‑year budget planning.
Manage day‑to‑day project execution, ensuring quality deliverables and milestones.
Apply process improvements and best practices across design and development.
Collaborate with other functions to maintain high‑level interaction and communication.
Team Oversight
Supervise assigned team, developing employees through performance management, coaching, and rotational assignments.
Support development of organization plans to drive overall efficiency and culture change.
Technical Knowledge & Skills
Substation power system planning, engineering, maintenance, and operations.
Process improvement and business acumen.
Understanding of NERC, ISO‑NE, NPCC standards and New England regulatory environment.
Knowledge of information technology and office automation systems.
Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical information.
Qualifications
BS in Engineering or related discipline; advanced degree desirable.
Minimum 8 years of related utility or transmission experience; supervisory experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of transmission and substation programs.
Leadership, coaching, and collaborative relationship building.
Benefits Competitive total rewards; salary range $141,440–$157,150; eligible for incentive.
