Salary Base pay range: $104,000.00/yr - $143,000.00/yr

Your Role As a member of the Acute Therapies Verification and Validation engineering team, you will support product verification, validation, and compliance test activities on electrical and mechanical medical device components/systems. Your test expertise will be applied to all levels of product development—from prototypes to final system design. This includes planning, developing, executing, and validating test methods, creating associated documentation, and interfacing with R&D, project management, quality, and manufacturing groups.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead the development of complete electromechanical test solutions, including strategies, plans, methods, protocols, and reports.

Lead medium to large teams through the planning and execution of Test Engineering programs; construct detailed, accurate project schedules and coordinate with multiple R&D groups.

Drive quality into product development through analysis, testing, and timely feedback of test results to cross‑functional teams.

Reverse engineer designs, review/analyze requirements, and perform test impact assessments to define scope of work.

Design test cases, including methodology, setups, materials, equipment, procedures, and acceptance criteria.

Guide teams in functional testing of mechanical assemblies, electrical circuits, and systems.

Serve as the point of contact for test to cross‑functional meetings and design reviews.

Support hardware and software teams in product development, concept feasibility, pre‑compliance, integration, and change activities.

Lead the design/qualification of hardware and software tools/fixtures for executing test methods and analyzing data.

Review and characterize electrical/mechanical designs to develop test methods and ensure coverage of requirements.

Lead medium to large teams through test projects for electromechanical components and systems.

Read and understand medical compliance standards, evaluate risk, and develop test procedures to ensure requirements are met.

Lead test execution at third‑party medical device safety test labs.

Develop feasibility and characterization testing on design concepts and prototypes using engineering principles and best practices.

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering; 8+ years of test engineering experience.

Experience with medical device systems and component‑level V&V testing, plans, procedures, reports, equipment, and test methods.

Demonstrated troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis skills.

Solid knowledge of electrical/mechanical engineering disciplines; ability to read and analyze schematics and drawings.

Hands‑on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscope, DMM, power supply, force/pressure gauge, caliper, thermometer, flow meter, scales).

Proactive, hands‑on approach to electro‑mechanical testing, fault diagnosis, and isolation.

Expertise in creating detailed, clear, and complete documentation and records.

Collaborative leadership of test teams across disciplines.

Strong prioritization and multitasking skills; ability to manage wide‑range technical projects.

Comfortable in a fast‑paced environment with broad responsibilities.

Effective communication and negotiation with management and stakeholders.

Self‑starter with ownership of work, initiative, and focus on business and departmental goals.
