Position Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Research Analyst / Senior Paralegal
on behalf of our client, a respected national law firm. This role supports attorneys and staff nationwide by conducting a variety of legal, litigation, and business research projects. The position also involves providing advanced paralegal and cite‑checking support for ongoing cases and firm publications. Key Responsibilities
Conduct complex legal and business research using databases such as
Westlaw, VitalLaw, Courtlink, Case Portal , and others. Analyze and summarize statutes, judicial opinions, legal journals, and other authoritative materials. Perform
cite checking
using
Bluebook
and
California Style Manual
guidelines. Track case dockets and retrieve court documents through platforms like Westlaw and Courtlink. Assist in organizing and updating firm publications and internal knowledge resources. Help train attorneys and staff on effective use of legal research tools. Maintain research department resources, intranet content, and electronic collections. Collaborate with the library team to enhance internal research processes and tools. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required ;
Juris Doctor (JD)
or
5+ years of paralegal experience
preferred. At least
2 years of professional legal research experience . Proficiency with research tools such as
Westlaw, VitalLaw, Courtlink, HeinOnline, Accurint, TLO, PubMed, Google Scholar,
and
PACER . Strong knowledge of
Outlook, Excel, Adobe , and the ability to quickly learn new technology. Exceptional attention to detail, research accuracy, and organizational skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment. Position requires extended computer use and occasional handling of print materials. Some
overtime
